Your privacy is our core priority. QR Drop was engineered to operate fully offline, ensuring that your data never leaves your device.

1. No Data Collection

QR Drop does not collect, log, track, share, or store any of your personal data. We do not use databases, external APIs, analytics tracking, or remote tracking servers.

2. Data Processing & Permissions

To convert selected web content into QR codes, the extension requests the following permissions. All processing occurs completely inside your local browser instance:

ActiveTab: Used solely to capture highlighted text, phone numbers, or links from the page you are viewing when you request a QR code drop.
ContextMenus: Used to display the "Send via QR Drop" option in the right-click menu.
Scripting: Used to render the scannable visual QR Code overlay onto the current tab.
Storage: Used to save your last 10 scan results locally (History) and to remember your user preferences (e.g. Android vs. Apple formatting presets).

3. Data Transfer & Sharing

Because we do not collect any data, we cannot and will never sell, lease, distribute, or share any user data with advertisers, third-party companies, or external services.
